AVP has an opening for the Director of Public Safety. This is a 100%, full-time, benefits eligible position. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Start date is as soon as possible after the close of the search.

Duties include planning and directing the development, scheduling, and training of Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement Officers, developing specifications of related equipment, enforcement of Airport rules and regulations, development of safety and security programs, methods and procedures necessary to carry out all applicable requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration, and Homeland Security (including FAR Parts 1540, 1542) Pennsylvania General Statutes, and the Lackawanna/Luzerne County Codes.
