Chief Executive Officer

Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority (WVSA) is in search of its next dynamic leader and accepting Letters of Interest and Resumes for its Chief Executive Officer position.

Serving more than 250,000 residents since 1969, WVSA provides high quality wastewater management services to 36 municipalities throughout Luzerne County. In 2018, the Authority added stormwater management to its community services, including a continued focus on Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit compliance for 31 municipalities.

Candidate will report to the 16-member WVSA Board of Directors who are appointed by their respective municipalities and is expected to manage the day-to-day operations of the Authority.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Political Science, Public Policy or Public Administration. Advanced degree in management or technical field preferred.

Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible management experience. (Experience in water industry, state or local government or utility administration preferred.)
