Director of Engineering

Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority (WVSA) is searching for a visionary engineer and project manager who will ensure the long-term excellence and efficiency of the Authority's infrastructure. We are accepting Letters of Interest and Resumes for the Director of Engineering position. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with a proven record of building up their team and mentoring staff members.

Serving more than 250,000 residents since 1969, WVSA provides high quality wastewater management services to 36 municipalities throughout Luzerne County. In 2018, the Authority added stormwater management to its community services, including a continued focus on Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit compliance for 31 municipalities.

Candidate reports to the CEO and will attend regular meetings of the WVSA Board of Directors who are appointed by their respective municipalities.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Environmental Engineering and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience with construction observation, construction management, design and/or operation relative to public works projects: generally, and specifically wastewater and stormwater facilities.
