Full-Time Position SCCTC
Building Trades Lab Assistant

Requirements:
Basic Building & Construction trade skills and ability to demonstrate to others.
Understanding of OSHA and shop safety.
Communication skills both written and verbal.
Effective interactions with diverse student populations.
Must be a team player and dedicated to students.

Description:
Organizing and keeping a running inventory of tool room supplies.
Handing out equipment and consumables to students.
Helping instructors set up equipment for their program area.
Assisting instructors during
instruction time.
Informing students of safe practices of their program environment.
Helping to implement clean-up procedures.
Supervision of students when assigned.
All other duties assigned.
Salary based on experience.

CDL Instructor Job
Opening

Primarily responsible for teaching various courses within the Commercial Driver's License Training program to include skills and road training. This entails the support of all CDL processes in order to meet SCCTC's goals and to ensure that the school adheres to professional standards and policies in all aspects of CDL and academic partnerships.

Provide instructional and development support for CDL programs.
Strictly follow all State and Federal guidelines both in the classroom and driving yard
Provide quality CDL Class instruction as specified by lesson plans.
Provide Range instruction consisting of basic skills, coordination and maneuvers.
Provide road training on public streets, roads and highways.
Accurately prepare records and reports.
Record attendance, mileage, drive time, certifications, and other student training information.
Other duties as assigned (i.e. maintain goals as developed by Supervisors).

Education & Certification:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Current Class A Commercial Driver's License with endorsements and current Department of Transportation physical certification.
Two (2) years of verifiable drivers experience within the past 10 years.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Experience:
Verifiable driving operation: 2 years preferred.

Pay:
$30 per hour.
