CHIEF OF POLICE
BOROUGH OF JESSUP

The Borough of Jessup is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Chief of Police. The position is a full-time, non-union position. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in modern police operational and administrative practices and exceptional leadership skills. The Chief of Police is also expected to maintain a visible presence within neighborhood and business districts. The ability to work cooperatively with local and county elected officials, Borough administration, citizens and civic leaders is required. A combination of education, training, and experience that closely meets the needs of the Borough will be considered. The candidate must be currently certified under Pennsylvania Act 120 (53 Pa. C.S.A. § 2161), or be eligible to receive certification within 90 days of employment.
